ACM, Gift of Andrew Gn
This piece is from Andrew Gn’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection May There Be Light.
Amid pandemic lockdowns across the globe, he was inspired to create a collection that would bring hope, pleasure, and joy.
This all-white look symbolises purity, cleansing, and rebirth. It is crafted from fluid crepe and features a fringed cape that falls over the bodice. The cape is a nod to Chinese export shawls of the 20th century, often called “Manila shawls”.
The hang of fabric on the body. A garment can be cut on the bias for more pronounced drape.
PROCESS
Andrew Gn’s motto for creating is to make less, but only the very best. Craftsmanship is of high importance in the process of creating his pieces to make them last for seasons.
His signature in crafting the pieces is opulence in the form of immaculate tailoring, sophisticated embellishments and refined trims. Luxurious fabrics are made exclusively for his collections. The timeless cut and flattering proportions make his pieces sustainable, prompting him to name them “heritage pieces''.
Each garment has sophisticated details designed by his studio, crafted by skilled artisans, and fabricated with exquisite finishing.
